Iris's 2006 cabaret show, MORE Trouble with Men, is now available on DVD!

MORE Trouble with Men premiered March 23, 2006 at Jimmy Tingle's Off Broadway, as part of the 2006 BACA Cabaret Celebration. A revamped, expanded version of Iris's 2005 show, The Trouble with Men, it's a humorous, tuneful rant about the dark side of love that interweaves classic standards with Iris's witty, yet touching originals. Anyone who's loved, lost, and somehow bounced back to love again will find that it strikes a familiar chord. As usual, Joe Della Penna is Iris's co-conspirator, music director, and accompanist par excellence.

Here's what BACA (Boston Association of Cabaret Artists) President Jim Keating had to say about the show:

"If you have not seen B. Iris Tanner lately you have missed something fine. Her show "More Trouble With Men" is a finely crafted, tightly scripted collage of her own material and fine standards. Joe Della Penna offered a talented mix of styles from pop to jazz to tango. Many in the audience commented that Iris has brought her performance to a new level. She had us engaged, alternately depressed and inspired, while laughing throughout."

Iris expects to perform the show again somewhere in the greater Boston area this summer. But no need to wait – the show is now available on DVD, recorded by videographer Alan Carvalho of Cambridge Video. (Furthermore, one of Iris's fabulous felines made a cameo appearance at the premiere and is consequently on the DVD – no promises that he will appear in subsequent performances.)
